About Us

Our Story

Our story begins on a Megabus trip from Washington D.C. to NYC when founder, Bukky Ojeifo decided to follow her passion for hair and her purpose to work with and be of service to teenage girls who may be facing the same struggles and insecurities  around their hair that she often faced when she was a teenager.

She thought to herself " If I knew then, what I know now about my hair, I would have made better choices"

So on that bus trip, HairOnPurpose was born in hopes of becoming an empowering place for girls to unapologetically learn all about their hair, a safe place for girls to discuss social topics that impact them everyday and a powerful place to become a change agent in their communities.

We are  #HairOnPurpose

In everything we do, we do it with Love. Passion, Purpose and great Hair.
